Walter Jenks Morgan was an accomplished painter and illustrator he worked for all the leading periodicals of the day including The Graphic, Illustrated London News, as well as for Cassell & Co. He exhibited widely in his lifetime including the Royal Academy, at Suffolk Street, and the New Watercolour Society, later the RBA. He was also President of the Birmingham Art Circle and the Midlands Art Club. In very good clean unfaded condition.  Signed bottom right.

A very nice example of a piece ofwork by a respected early 20th century watercolourist working in the Modern British Style. He exhibited widely during his lifetime having several one man shows in London and the provinces. This is signed with initials bottom right and came from a collection of his paintings which have all been sold.

Dollman Jackdaws

Artist: John Charles Dollman RWS (1851-1934)

An oil on card by this eminent painter and Illustrator. It is signed with initials and dated 1910 bottom left. A very atmospheric oil on card of Jackdaws  settling on Carrion in a blizzard. The effects of snow are particularly accomplished.

He exhibited widely in his lifetime and contributed to a number of books and periodicals of the day; having a particular interest in animal subjects.

Additionally he had a one man show at the Fine Art Society in January 1906 and is represented in several public collections.

In good unfaded condition it will frame well.

A very nice example of a piece of work by a listed early 20th century watercolourist . She exhibited a number of paintings in London and the provinces. This is signed in full bottom right and dated August 1925. It is in good clean unfaded condition. The attention to detail of the wildflowers in the foreground is to be commended.

This is signed in full bottom left and dated September 1925, presumably from the same sketching expedition as its pair above. It is in good clean unfaded condition. The attention to detail of the wildflowers in the foreground is to be commended.
