A beautiful watercolour heightened with gouache by a well known Japanese  painter working during the Meiji period, c.1900. It is typical of the style of Anglo Japanese artists who were trained in Europe and is painted on French paper. Signed bottom left.

It has a slight oxidisation in the clouds but it is in good condition otherwise.It has a few nicks to the edges but again nothing major.
