Title: " Water from the Spring"
Artist:Attributed to F J Shields
Size:10" x 7"
Price: £225

A splendid watercolour in the Pre-Raphaelite style, attributed to Frederick James Shields (1833-1911). A good example of his mastery of working "en plein air" but sadly unsigned. However it will frame beautifully.

Title: "Pulled Up"
Artist:Ernest Griset (1844-1907)
Size:11" x 8"
Price: £475

Ernest Henry Griset was one of the 19thc best known comic illustrators. This drawing dates from c.1870 and is signed bottom left. In good unfaded condition, it has some foxing but that is always the case with Grisets drawings. A good example of this increasingly sought after artist's work.

Title: "A Woodcock"
Artist:John Sherrin RI (1819-1896)
Size: 12" x 9"
Price: £175

A typical piece by William Henry Hunts best known pupil. Unsigned but undoubtedly by him. Shown clearly in the treatment of the feathers and moss. A nice touch is the redcurrent on the leaf in the foreground symbolising good to eat with this.
