George
Large RI RBA with the painting he
recently donated to the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery in Leicester
A typical
example of Georges work this painting shows a man and woman on a Carousel.
Very powerful allegory of life. It is in a private collection having
been sold 2 years ago. One of my favourite paintings by George.
Commissioned
by a member of the Rutland Morris Men this shows them dancing in the
Market Square Uppingham. Unusually the musicians are identifiable
rather than the anonymous figures that George prefers.
Georges
studio showing a work in progress. He is still working flat out producing
paintings for exhibitions in London and his favourite holiday Island
of Malta, where he has a house. His last 2 exhibitions on Malta were
sold out within hours of the doors opening. George is happy to accept
commissions from clients. Views of houses, interiors, men and women
at work in various occupations. All have been Georges subject matter
in the past. A George Large painting is guaranteed to be an individual
piece with personal connotations but
painted in Georges own idiosyncratic style. Prices
start from £800. Contact me for more details.
